Gin is officially in.

Our parents, grandparents, and even great grandparents played cards all the time as a social function, and even for leisure. So, what happened and why did it come to a seemingly screeching halt? Have we become that insular? Is it because of our phones? Modern working cultures? This… we don’t know.

What we do know is that just like The Original Southside cocktail revived a classic drink with a modern twist, The Southside Gin Club (SSGC) follows the same mission to revive a classic card game with an updated approach.

Club Ethos

of the Southside Gin Club

Great conversations start with a good hand—and a better drink. At the SSGC we’re bringing people together over Gin Rummy, a game of charm, wit, and friendly competition. It’s not just about the cards—it’s about the company. So pull up a seat, pour a drink, and let the games begin.

Engaging with Presence

Pick up your cards, and enjoy face-to-face conversation, friendly competition, and a refreshing drink.

Reviving Tradition

It’s not just about the cards. It’s about real conversation, genuine connection, and that easy, old-school kind of fun we don’t get enough of anymore.
The SSGC is more than a card club — it’s about rediscovering the art of connection. Relationships and traditions are formed over the table, and the SSGC is where it begins.

Frequently asked questions

Application for membership requires a reference from a current SSGC member. A reference is obligatory for membership - IYKYK, right? Applications are evaluated on a rolling basis by the membership committee.

Finding additional members who are willing to be a reference on your behalf is key! More references = higher prospects of you becoming a member.

It means we’re either (1) on vacation or (2) you’re on the waitlist. Probably #2 though.

Early access to events and exclusive SSGC swag. You also look fresh as f*ck.

The Southside Gin club is currently only active in states where The Original Southside is available in stores. Check back regularly or sign up for our email list to be notified when we come to your area!
